11 Ups & 4 Downs From Impact Wrestling No Surrender 2021
1. Forbidden No More
Juice Robinson and David Finlay of New Japan Pro Wrestling are on their way to Impact Wrestling.
The announcement came in a cheeky video package that aired following the usual end credits after the main event, akin to NXT's watermark fakeout they like to use for big TakeOver show-closing moments. Of course, this comes after KENTA debuted for AEW, with the forbidden door being opened to allow a full working relationship between All Elite and New Japan. Whether Impact is a full-time part of that deal or not remains to be seen.
This, quite understandably, rules. When the Impact and AEW relationship began, the former were at the buzz of the pro wrestling discussions. This will only further that. Sure, Robinson and Finlay aren't necessarily the biggest names on offer from the promotion, but you have to start somewhere. If you had Kota Ibushi or Tetsuya Naito come in straight away, then no-one would care about FinJuice.
The former IWGP Tag Team Champions have since been confirmed for this Tuesday's episode of Impact Wrestling. Will they wrestle on said show? Stay tuned...
