Therefore, it needs to be a clean match, resulting in Scott D'Amore promising to suspend Moose should the TNA World Heavyweight Champion interfere in the bout.

Granted, D'Amore being willing to suspend another of his top guys so soon after doing the same thing to Ken Shamrock less than a month ago may seem a tad weird from a promoting perspective. However, it shows perfectly how much this match means to the company. You can argue all day about Dreamer challenging for the World Championship in this modern age, but the story has been told so beautifully that it didn't matter too much.
