7. Kane As Director Of Operations

Kane's debut is as thrilling as they come. Part of a story that built for months, he arrived like something from a horror movie to take revenge upon his brother, The Undertaker, for burning their family alive by setting fire to their home. It started the legend of a character who is one of the most recognizable figures of the Attitude Era.

Even when unmasking, Kane was used as a horrific monster. Not at any point did any fan, anywhere think to themselves "what this guy needs is a pair of slacks". The idea of Corporate Kane is ridiculous in every way, coming off as a backstage rib that went too far and made it to our screens.

Adopting a suit and tie to be part of Triple H and Stephanie McMahon's never-ending Authority storyline, during which superstars would have to face whoever they wanted to be "the face of WWE", Corporate Kane was made their Director of Operations. It is one of the all-time creative gaffes in WWE that did nothing for Kane, and is comfortably the least satisfying iteration of that character.
