12 Upcoming Wrestling Stories That Are Already Doomed

11. Cody Rhodes Vs Travis Scott

Brock Lesnar John Cena
WWE

To watch WWE Unreal would be to assume that Travis Scott was to be featured into the company's main event plans for the next two or three WrestleManias, such was his bedding in to one of the biggest moments in company history.

When Triple H discusses who he has to bring in on the super-secret group call over turning John Cena heel, Scott gets top billing alongside The Rock, Nick Khan, Cody Rhodes and 'The Champ' himself. In the aftermath of Elimination Chamber 2025 and WrestleMania 41, it appeared to be clear why - the rapper was looking to be more than just a special guest. Having boxed Cody's ears during the Cena turn and eaten a Cross Rhodes as a receipt on 'The Grandest Stage', Scott can be seen on the docu-series saying he wants to change jobs.

He's since changed plans.

When Scott was AWOL in the builds for Cody and Cena's tag battle at Money In The Bank and subsequent singles SummerSlam match, reports surfaced that this was no accident nor conflict of schedules. The two sides weren't on great terms, Scott's attitude was publicly - as public as wrestling can be - questioned, and as quick as he was in at the very top of the card, he was out and nowhere near it. Thus brought about the presumed end of any longstanding programme with Rhodes, or anybody else for now at least.
