12 WWE Clash Of Champions 2019 Impulse Reactions

2. Seth Rollins (c) Vs. Braun Strowman

Braun Strowman flooring it straight into a Seth Rollins drop toehold through a table was a fabulously intelligent spot in a match otherwise made up of two thick-headed idiots being thick-headed idiots.

In a pre-match promo, Rollins promised to take down the 'Monster Among Men' in the way he'd slayed 'The Beast' at SummerSlam and WrestleMania, but there was very little similar fire from a man so obsessed with burning things down. Strowman, again, didn't really have his usual intensity when it really counted. A big splash was incredible, but what the f*ck was he doing up there in the first place when he's big enough to chuck Seth the same height in the sky and club him down from a mid-air position? He's a Lex Luger-level choker at this point - it's little wonder he can only be enjoyed f*cking about in the undercard rather than during a main event such as this.

All told, this wasn't a bad time, just a slightly underwhelming one. The pair spamming curbstomps and kickouts at the end kept the crowd hot, as Rollins clearly has chemistry with the big b*stards, but he doesn't seem to have all that much with the live crowd.

Especially when it became evident what the really wanted right at the...ahem...death...
