13 Ups & 1 Down From Impact Wrestling (Jun 2)
6. Six Weeks In The Making
After their planned Knockouts Championship Full Metal Mayhem clash for the second half of Rebellion was postponed and replaced by Rosemary vs. Havok, Jordynne Grace will instead defend the championship against Taya Valkyrie on next Tuesday's edition of Impact. While there's no word as to whether this will be the scheduled Full Metal Mayhem Match, it's still a mammoth match to be taking place on TV, as is the majority of next week's card.
Neither knockout has been seen since the beginning of these ongoing world issues, both resurfacing in a backstage interview with Jimmy Jacobs. 'Thicc Mama Pump' was champing at the bit to get her hands on any of the newly debuted knockouts, whereas 'Wera Loca' wanted no part in wrestling Grace that evening, going so far as to say Jordynne's time away from the ring looks bad on her record. We'll just skim past all of the nefarious means Taya used to become the longest-reigning champion though, right?
Like a few other tidbits on this episode, it was short and snappy. Two stars return, setting up a postponed match for the following week. That was literally it. It didn't need to be anything more than what it was.
