6. John Cena’s Retirement Tour

You can enjoy, deride and analyse every heartbeat of John Cena's year long retirement tour to date on Netflix. By the time Christmas rolls around, it'll all be over. 'Super Cena' will be unwrapping presents with his loved ones and reaching for another helping from the selection box like the rest of us. Probably. That's if somebody who has abs like his aged 48 even eats chocolate.

The recency of Cena's retirement jaunt means you can watch everything from his appearance on the first Raw episode to air on Netflix (6 January's edition) and his shock elimination at the hands of eventual winner Jey Uso at Royal Rumble, to his Elimination Chamber heel turn and WrestleMania 41 challenge to Cody Rhodes.

There were hiccups, of course. Even the man himself has dissed his heel turn, but there's plenty to smile about too. Matches vs. Randy Orton, Logan Paul, CM Punk, Cody (the second time they had a go at SummerSlam) and AJ Styles should be on your 'to do' lists this festive season. If you have the inclination, then line them all up like it's 2010 all over again and you've just received a 'John Cena Farewell' DVD boxset.

Cena's retirement tour is historically significant whilst it's still in progress, which is special. Reality is starting to kick in for people that they won't be seeing this dude do his thing again. Unless, y'know, he goes back on his retirement vow like so many other workers. That's always possible.

Top Recommendation: Cena's match with AJ Styles at Crown Jewel in Australia honoured countless legends, TNA and their previous WWE battles from 2016-2017. It stands out from the crowd as the retirement tour bout you need to see.
