11. Judgment Day’s Rise

It was Edge who formed Judgment Day back in 2022, but not even he could've foreseen just how successful the group would be. 99% of that success actually came when the 'Rated-R Superstar' was booted out of the faction by Finn Bálor, Damian Priest and Rhea Ripley; Finn was already a star who had climbed World Title heights, but Priest and Ripley were mere fledgling stars.

Anyone worried about JD post-Edge had no reason to chew their fingernails. The stable went from strength to strength. They recruited Dominik Mysterio, who later became NXT North American Champ. Meanwhile, Rhea Ripley won the old SmackDown Women's Title from Charlotte Flair, and the Bálor and Priest combo held tag straps into the bargain.

Judgment Day was riding high.

The faction has produced genuine stars in Ripley, Priest and Mysterio. Charting all 3 rises provides endless entertainment. Rhea’s matches vs. Charlotte and others, Priest vs. Bad Bunny then his own World Title win, Dominik going from hated heel to Eddie Guerrero tribute. It's all bags of fun, and you could lose yourself for hours just spotlighting the best JD matches.

That's been true even since fresher members like Liv Morgan and JD McDonagh joined the party. It looked certain that Judgment Day would be doomed as soon as Edge fled the scene, but they defied the odds to run Raw for a while and win more titles than most could count. It's possible to relive most of their merriment on Netflix.

Top Recommendation: Bálor vs. Edge in a Hell In A Cell match at WrestleMania 39, or Ripley's win over Flair from the same event.
