As far as Steve Austin vs. Mr. McMahon retreads go, John Cena vs. Eric Bischoff from Raw in 2005 was a darn good one. Cena still had enough of his bad boy rapper edge that year, and Bisch was always on top form as a punchable heel authority figure who seemed to wake up every morning with the question; 'How can I make *insert babyface here's* life a living hell?' on his mind.

Raw GM Eric lined up Chris Jericho and Kurt Angle as challengers for Cena's WWE Title in '05. At Unforgiven in September, it was Angle's turn to take a swing at the new poster boy. Predictably, the duo had a thumping main event that should earn rotation on any 'Best Of The Ruthless Aggression Era' PPV playlist.

Before the match, Bischoff ranted and raved at Cena backstage. So, John grabbed some training tape and put it over Eric's mouth to shut him up. That's it. That's all that happened, but it was a cracking moment in time nobody talks about now. Sure, it was a brief promo on the latest pay-per-view and little else, but it encapsulated everything fab about both characters.

Cena was telling his boss that the time for talk was over. They'd done that on TV in the lead up to Unforgiven. Now, faced with the prospect of a snarling wrestling machine standing across the ring from him, a banged up JC was in no mood for Bischoff's games.

Sometimes, things so short, simple and to the point work a treat. This was one of those times.
