15 Times WWE Stars Made Cameos BEFORE They Were Famous

7. Stephanie McMahon

No-one really knew who the timid backstage worker Steve Austin quizzed on the 30 November 1998 episode of Raw Is War was at the time. 'Stone Cold' was carrying a shovel when he stopped Stephanie McMahon in the corridor to ask if she'd seen The Undertaker. Presumably, given that she was walking calmly and not running for her life lest she be sacrificed by the WWF's supernatural satan, she hadn't.

She was, however, wearing what might've been a satin shirt. Hail satin. Alright, so it wasn't a satin shirt and that comment existed purely to make that lame joke, but we move. This was Steph's very first appearance on-screen. She'd shown up in old WWF merchandise catalogs as a kid, but this was her dipping a toe into the telly stuff.

Reportedly, it was Vince Russo who convinced everybody to bring Stephanie on board as a regular on-screen character the following year. It'd take a while for her to find her feet, but McMahon was an excellent heel once she did. A mere 2 years later, she was running ECW. That was another lame joke (sorry!).

It's pretty cool to think that nobody tuning into Raw in late-November '98 would've had a clue that she was Vince's daughter or Shane's sister. Stephanie perfected that pure as driven snow, innocent and wide-eyed look for a while before turning rogue and flashing the same devilish grins as her tyrannical family members.

Her first showing on WWF TV was a true blink and you'll miss it moment.
