16 Awesome Stories From Eddie Guerrero Tribute On Talk Is Jericho

13. Always Overthinking Things

Chavo and Dean talk about how Eddie was notoriously hard on himself and always overthought his matches and spots. As we know, the great ones are always their own worst critics and in this case apparently Eddie was no different. Even if other people saw no flaws in his work he would pick apart every little detail and analyze it. Chavo tells a story about Eddie's ladder match with Rey Mysterio, and how Guerrero was furious with everyone at the conclusion. He was angry that his wife Vickie missed her spot, mad at the agents for sending her to the ring too early, and just overall frustrated with the end result. Chavo had to tell him to lighten up and reassured him that the match was perfect and no one was going to think otherwise. Dean and Chris echoes those sentiments and attest to times when Eddie was really hard on himself after his matches, always wanting things to be flawless. It's a testament to the kind of worker he was that he took such an obsessive pride in his performances.
