2 Ups & 7 Downs From WWE SmackDown (July 15)

2. Giving The Heels Ammunition

The Street Profits had a legitimate gripe when Montez Ford's shoulder popped off the canvas before the three at Money In The Bank, Ford and Angelo Dawkins had been screwed out of a Tag-Team Title shot, and everyone knew a hot rematch was incoming for SummerSlam.

WWE went 50/50 with the screwy finishes on SmackDown.

This time, it was Jimmy Uso's shoulder that came up, but ref Charles Robinson counted anyway. Why give the heels a justifiable grumble and even things out this way? It's absolutely senseless, and only appeared to happen because there's a dearth of ideas to prolong the feud on TV.

What's the hook for SummerSlam now? That WWE referees are blind and can't see what's directly in front of them? That sh*ts on the men and women in stripes, and gives the bad guys ill-needed ammunition that squashes babyface sympathy.
