6. Sasha Banks
The list of wrestlers in better form than Sasha Banks over the past 12+ months doesn't exist.
Comfortably, the SmackDown Women's Champion is delivering at a higher level than anyone else in the company. She is the total package of charisma, skill, and the all-important intangibles, and while 2021 is yet to yield a storyline with as much heft as last year's with Bayley, Banks' performances have been exemplary. Nobody in WWE is touching her at the moment.
We have known The Boss' skill in big-match situations for ages. Her list of bangers stretches back to December 2014, when she was feuding with Charlotte in NXT. Sasha's presence, star power, and character-acting abilities are nothing new either. 2020 and 2021 haven't brought any revelations in that regard (of course the Bayley storyline was great, and of course the Hell In A Cell blowoff was one of 2021's best matches).
What we have learned over the past few months, however, is that Banks has evolved into an incredible, Bret Hart-esque carrier. The Carmella feud proves as much, because while 'Mella has improved leaps and bounds from her early days, Sasha looked a composed ring general in those bouts, leading a less-complete worker through a series of believable, natural matches, lifting her up in the process.
