20 Best Matches Of Brock Lesnar's Career
9. Vs. Roman Reigns - WrestleMania 31
When fans look back at the main event of WrestleMania 31, almost nobody will be thinking of WWE Champion Brock Lesnar or Royal Rumble winner Roman Reigns. That distinction goes to Seth Rollins, who completed 'The Heist of the Century' by interrupting the main event of WrestleMania, cashing in his Money in the Bank contract and winning the WWE Championship.
Despite all of that, more credit needs to be given to both The Beast Incarnate and The Big Dog, who put on an excellent matchup before they were interrupted. Lesnar dominated much of the match hitting Reigns with a barrage of German Suplexes and F-5's before the former Shield member made his comeback. A few stiff knees caused The Beast to bleed from his mouth and cheek, followed by several Superman Punches and Spears leading to both man being down for the count in the middle of the ring. This would open the door for Rollins to enter the fray and capitalize on the situation to walk out as WWE Champion.
WWE had unfortunately booked themselves into a corner with Brock Lesnar potentially leaving wrestling again for the UFC. Add to that mixed fans not being receptive to the event seemingly being the planned coronation of Roman Reigns. Despite all that, all three men, specifically Reigns and Lesnar, deserve all the credit in the world for delivering a match worthy of the main event of WrestleMania.
