6. Vs. Kurt Angle - WrestleMania XIX

Main eventing a WrestleMania that features The Undertaker, Hulk Hogan, and the final match in the Steve Austin vs. The Rock trilogy comes with lofty expectations. Add on that, Brock Lesnar and Kurt Angle are two of the most decorated athletes in the history of wrestling, and the stage was set for an all time classic in Seattle.

In Brock Lesnar’s first appearance at WrestleMania, he more than held his own against the Olympic Gold Medalist. For almost the entire 21-minute main event, both wrestlers showcased their stellar amateur backgrounds before the match would reach its apex. After both men kicked out of each others finishers - the first time either the Angle Slam or F-5 had been kicked out of - The Next Big Thing looked to do much more than have a WrestleMania moment.

Climbing the top rope was something fans had rarely seen Lesnar do, and the capacity crowd all came to their feet as he did. Harkening back to his days in OVW, Brock Lesnar attempted a Shooting Star Press, under rotating and landing directly on his own neck. Despite nearly killing himself, The Beast recovered enough to put away Angle and win his second WWE Championship. Even with this all-time botch on the Grandest Stage of Them All, this was still a more than worthy WrestleMania main event and one of Brock Lesnar's best matches.

Despite that, it was not even Brock's best match with Kurt Angle that year.
