Throughout the legendary career of Brock Lesnar, no rivalry has lasted longer than his feud with The Undertaker. After their first WWE Championship match ended in a double disqualification and The Next Big Thing broke The American Badass' hand it made sense to settle their feud inside Hell in a Cell.

Even with The Phenom's kayfabe injury, the two had a hard hitting war inside Hell in a Cell. Being able to use the cast as a weapon, Undertaker busted Lesnar open early on. Despite this being the WWE Champion's first time entering Hell in a Cell, The Next Big Thing appeared at home in the structure. Brock tied Undertaker's broken hand up in the steel, further destroying it with a chair and dropping him with the ring steps meant The Phenom was pouring blood.

After a back and forth bloody war, Lesnar was able to reverse an attempted Tombstone Piledriver into an F-5 for the win and to retain his WWE Championship. In an interesting note, this was the same spot that they would replicate 12 years later at WrestleMania XXX to end The Streak. As Brock was still in the middle of his rise to the top of WWE and newly crowned WWE Champion, the winner of this match was likely never in doubt. Despite this, Undertaker did everything in his power to cement Lesnar truly as The Next Big Thing.
