20 Spookiest Ever Wrestling Characters

1. The Undertaker

Today, The Undertaker isn't all that freaky. In the modern era, the character has become unique on the WWE landscape. Yes, 'Taker does still dress in black and emerge to funeral music, but he's simply regarded as a standalone legend in the company. Things couldn't have been more different when the gimmick was first conceived, The Undertaker was the scariest man in wrestling. Making his debut at the Survivor Series in 1990, Undertaker was said to be the 'Grim Reaper' of the WWF. Pasty white and walking slowly to the ring, children were instantly afraid whenever the guy was around. The original incarnation of the character was an undead zombie, one who could not be killed. Therefore, in the minds of many - child and adult alike - he could not be stopped. It was brilliantly simple, and unbelievably spooky. The funeral dirge that signalled his arrival on the scene sent chills running up and down the spines of everyone in attendance. The Undertaker just had an incredible presence, even in his most early showings. As aforementioned, the character would evolve into something entirely different, but that doesn't take away from the impact 'Taker had when he first arrived.
