10. The Brain Busters

Before they were mentoring FTR or whispering into laminated sheets, Arn Anderson and Tully Blanchard were a rough-as-anything tag team and part of one of the greatest stables in wrestling history. As members of The Four Horsemen, Anderson and Blanchard helped guide Ric Flair to the top of the mountain in the NWA and WCW and made sure he stayed there. They also won the NWA Mid-Atlantic Tag Team Championships twice.

When the duo arrived in the WWF as The Brain Busters, they made history by ending the then-record setting championship reign of Demolition in 1989. They also became the first team in pro wrestling history to win tag gold in both the NWA and the WWF. The Busters held the belts for 76 days before dropping them back to Demolition. By the end of the year, both men left the company with Tully never to appear for the promotion again.

In an era where the divide between "sports entertainment" and "wrasslin'" was stronger than ever, perhaps it's not surprising that these two legendary Southern grapplers only got one title reign in the land of McMahon.
