1. Diesel Defeats Bob Backlund For The WWF Championship - November 26 1994, New York City, NY
Marking the third New York City title change on this list (the second to involve the respective promotion's top championship) and the second appearance from Kevin Nash, the record-breaking eight second match saw Diesel pick up his first and only WWF Championship, just three days after Backlund had won it himself from Bret Hart. The clip was televised to be shown on TV the following week, which is another thing WWE could do in the 'Reality Era'. There's always some recording equipment around at house shows, and they could broadcast these clips on Raw and Smackdown, should title changes occur outside of the normal settings. Big Daddy Cool would go on to hold the title belt for almost a year, giving him one of the longest championship reigns ever. The match that started it all at Madison Square Garden is still seen as one of the many highlights of the WWE's time at the Manhattan venue, and helped cement the company's reputation as a great source of live entertainment. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6AFvk3StVWQ It may be a rare phenomenon, but if you're heading to a WWE live event any time soon, then you might just be one of the few people lucky enough to witness a championship change hands when the cameras are turned off!
