18. 2000: The Radicalz Become Main Eventers
While the WWF spent all of 1999 whipping WCW in the ratings, Billionaire Ted's Wrasslin' company could at least say it had more impressive workers in the midcard. This would not be the case come early 2000 however, when Dean Malenko, Perry Saturn, Eddie Guerrero, and Chris Benoit all left together.
Now the WWF had the creative, momentum, and the in-ring talent necessary to absolutely dominate the new millennium. Now christened "The Radicalz," the WCW expatriates were treated as main event talent from the get-go, and it showed in a star-studded main event in February, when they, Triple H, and X-Pac took on 2 Cool, Cactus Jack, The Rock, and Rikishi.
The match wasn't much of a wrestling encounter, as was standard for Attitude Era main events, but the heated crowd and the return of Kane all made for a classic moment. Plus, it signified that ex-WCW talents were now making real contributions to WWE in their peak era, and that the place they left behind would soon be a thing of the past.
