3 Ups & 5 Downs From WWE SmackDown (Sept 16)

Some folks might've been disappointed with Ricochet vs. Sami Zayn because of the emphasis on story over action, but the match was still a fun trip. It had enough high-flying from Rico to scratch that particular itch too. Hopefully, this is the start of something more regular for him.

Seeing Ricochet challenge Solo Sikoa for the North American Title, for example, would be nice. Rico previously held that belt for a whopping 161 days, and he was the second champ (after Adam Cole), so there is some history to work with. Maybe that's looking too far ahead?

Back to the match.

The plot thickened between Sami and Jey Uso around ringside, which is hardly a bad thing. That bickering distracted Zayn, meaning he has something to whinge about when Roman gets back, and it's a decent side-story all-round.
