3 Ups & 6 Downs From WWE SmackDown (July 28)
2. Grayson Waller Gets Involved
Wrestling a featured bout vs. Jey Uso was a lofty spot for former NXT man Grayson Waller. He did well with it, and the folks shouting that he's everything WWE wanted Austin Theory to be grow louder on social media. That seems harsh on the US Champion, but there's a lot of that chatter if you look for it.
Back to Grayson and Uso.
They worked a tidy match towards the end of SmackDown, and it did a neat job of helping Waller bed in on the main roster whilst still putting focus on The Bloodline. Those are the best segments. Everyone involved should come out with something they can talk about.
WWE are certainly high on Grayson. The company wouldn't have had him interact with Edge or John Cena if they weren't, and they wouldn't have booked him opposite a SummerSlam headliner if question marks hung over his head backstage.
