20. Balor's Last Bow
NXT Champion Samoa Joe prevents Finn Balor from escaping the cage during the main event of TakeOver: The End.
Finn Balor and Samoa Joe's title feud was one of the hardest-fought (and strangest) of 2016. After coming up short at both TakeOver: London and Dallas, Joe shockingly won the belt at a house show in Lowell, Massachusetts - and was able to retain it here in this rematch, the first cage stipulation in NXT history.
This was Balor's first NXT loss while in his striking 'Demon' attire, and his last title match before being called up to the main roster. Joe would move on to a similarly intense feud with Shinsuke Nakamura.
