4 Reasons Kenny Omega Should Win WWE Royal Rumble 2017

Mirroring last year's WWE arrival of both AJ Styles and Shinsuke Nakamura in time for Wrestlemania weekend following their Wrestle Kingdom 10 heroics, both WWE and Kenny Omega would be striking whilst the iron is at its very hottest if they were willing to forge a deal in time for the Royal Rumble.

Achieving universal acclaim from all corners of the wrestling world and attracting further mainstream attention after Wrestling Observer guru Dave Meltzer smashed his own rating system to award it six stars, the IWGP Heavyweight Title Match between Omega and Kazuchika Okada will be lauded for generations to come as one of the greatest matches of all time.

It would unquestionably enhance WWE's reputation as the global industry leader then, if less than a month on from the classic encounter, they featured the contest's star performer in their own Pay-Per-View main event.

Booked to interact with very few of the company's big hitters, Omega could win from #30, barely allowing the foundations of the Almo Dome to cease shaking as he marched to victory and on to Wrestlemania.

It would mark an industry-defining month for Omega himself, and denote another exciting chapter in WWE's reinvention as the most diverse wrestling company in the world.
