4 Ups & 11 Downs From WWE Raw (Jan 11)

11. When You Need A Friend

T-Bar Xavier Woods

For weeks, Ricochet has been beaten down by RETRIBUTION on the regular, falling to nearly every member of the group as he fought alone.

So when the masked bunch turned their attention to another wrestler, you’d have thought he would have jumped at the chance to make a friend-in-arms. Xavier Woods, who was without an injured Kofi Kingston, battled T-BAR in singles action. Following the pattern, Mustafa Ali distracted Woods, and T-BAR won with a Feast Your Eyes (now Eyes Wide Shut).

It’s worth noting that this was the first match RETRIBUTION took part in that didn’t involve Ricochet in nearly two months. Again, you’d think Ricochet would have looked to secure some backup if possible, and Xavier was a prime candidate.

And can we just note how bland and lame T-BAR has become since donning his mask? As Dominik Dijakovic, he was dynamic and engaging in the ring, moving like men half his size. Now, he’s Big Lumbering Wrestler #103.
