4 Ups & 4 Downs From AEW Rampage (July 1)

1. A Refreshing Choice

Brody King
AEW

AEW's next pay-per-view is All Out on 4 September. That means it'd be foolish to burn through Jon Moxley's biggest matches on free television ahead of time, and that's surely why Brody King won the first "Royal Rampage" to become number one contender for the interim belt.

He was a fine and refreshing pick.

Brody carries that physical big man threat, and he deserves the chance to show what he can do in a featured spot against someone the calibre of Mox. This fan actually thought Keith Lee was going to get the nod when he and Swerve were placed in different rings, but no - King scored his biggest AEW win yet.

Putting Brody in there against Darby Allin for the final showdown was smart too, because Darbs only made the House Of Black member look even bigger. All Elite didn't waste any time in announcing King vs. Mox for Dynamite either.
