4 Ups & 4 Downs From Impact Wrestling (12 Jan)

Ups...

4. Video Packages Galore

Arguably one of Impact Wrestling's greatest assets today is the level of their production quality. The video packages they produce, particularly the ones heading into pay-per-views, are immense, as last night's Impact showed perfectly.

Both packages for Eddie Edwards vs. Sami Callihan, and Kenny Omega and The Good Brothers vs. Rich Swann and The Motor City Machine Guns were excellently produced. The lighting effect added to Edwards and Callihan's video further enhanced the viciousness of their rivalry, whereas the main event video package was complemented by Don Callis' voiceover segments added in over the top. Callis' genuine personal relationship to Omega boosts the anticipation for this one.

The greatest one, though, was the package for the finals of the Knockouts Tag Team Championships Tournament, pitting Kiera Hogan and Tasha Steelz against Havok and Nevaeh. Showcasing each and every match in the tournament with a commentary overlay, this instantly made the tournament finals feel far grander than they already were.

Plus, those title belts are lovely, aren't they?
