4 Ups & 4 Downs From Impact Wrestling (12 Jan)

3. Slowly Decaying

It doesn't mean much in the long-run, but Rosemary vs. Tenille Dashwood was Dashwood's greatest Impact match since returning back on 1 September. You knew it was off to a great start when Kaleb With A K's personal introduction for Tenille was cut shorter than usual. In-ring-wise, Dashwood's corner crossbody and stiff kick to the face of 'The Demon Assassin' were executed greatly. The main reason for Tenille managing to secure an Up, though, was the end of the bout.

Now, for this to make sense, you have to take into consideration Rosemary telling Taya Valkyrie to remain backstage for the bout to focus on her title match with Deonna Purrazzo, stating she had a different plan. That plan? A Decay reunion with Crazzy Steve, with Steve chasing Kaleb away from ringside. From here, Tenille's plan backfired as Rosemary turned the hairspray can against her, with a spear sealing Dashwood's fate. A fun match this.

Whether this is a full-time reunion between Rosemary and Crazzy Steve or not, this was still a fantastic moment in an otherwise above-average match. It's no secret that this writer isn't the biggest fan of Tenille's Impact career since she's returned, but this was one of only a few moments where she was actually used to her greatest potential. The Decay reunion was merely the icing on the cake in this instance.
