4 Ups & 5 Downs From WWE SmackDown (June 2)

1. The Emotional Rollercoaster Continues

Roman Reigns Jimmy Uso Bloodline

Jimmy seemed to see reason by hugging Roman, and the 'Tribal Chief' embraced his cousin right back whilst looking towards the heavens. Then, after appearing to mend his Bloodline, Reigns changed his mind on accepting Jimmy and Solo Sikoa blasted his brother with a brutal Samoan Spike.

That was sheer sports entertainment magic.

Roman is so damn good at lining up these swerve-style moments. They're still great even when fans can see them coming a mile off in 2023 - that's why he's atop the WWE mountain. Some folks would say they're sick of Reigns' title run and this Bloodline tale, but how could anyone be bored of this storytelling?!

The way Roman told Heyman that Jey will "fall in line" all over again added another cliffhanger moment to the overarching narrative as well. The likely outcome is Jey properly rebelling this time, and siding with Jimmy for a match vs. Reigns and Solo.

Top work from everyone involved.
