2. Becky Gets Revenge

It’s not often that something that happens randomly on a house show becomes part of an angle, but WWE leaned into something quite nicely here.

A couple of weeks ago, Becky Lynch apparently suffered an injury to her throat, sidelining her last week on Raw. She described it as a “fractured voice box,” which she said on Twitter robbed her of her biggest weapon: her voice.

Monday night, Lynch got revenge against Bianca Belair for causing the injury, attacking her WrestleMania 38 opponent after her match and using a steel chair to return the favor, wrapping the chair around Belair and ramming her into the ring post.

WWE officials said later that Bianca had suffered “trauma to the throat,” which Lynch gleefully described as “karma” on Twitter.

This was a quick, simple attack that kept the heat going without any drawn-out angles, just using what was available to them. Now you have an excuse if Belair isn’t on Raw next week, and then you can go from there.
