4 Ups & 8 Downs From WWE Raw (Sep 29)

Downs...

8. A Less Than Stellar Debut

Mandy Rose Dana Brooke

For the past few weeks, Raw touted the arrival of Mandy Rose, who had been traded from SmackDown at the Miz’s behest. Monday, she showed up… with Dana Brooke in tow. No word on whether SmackDown is getting anyone in return for losing two wrestlers.

The duo teamed up against Lana & Natalya in a painful match that just didn’t click, with Mandy’s simple, yet effective, finisher – a pump knee-strike – looking awkward to make it worse. This was just a 3-minute match that put Lana on her back again and didn’t do anyone any favors.

So it looks like we have another tag team gunning for the women’s tag titles, which are out of commission for the short term with Nia Jax & Shayna Baszler both medically not cleared, which is WWE speak for “COVID-19 quarantine or positive result.”

Here’s hoping we get a better showing from Mandy and Dana soon, but this didn’t exactly bode well for their prospects out of the chute.
