Whilst the WWE Women's Title continues to be featured in a lofty position on Monday Night Raw, SmackDown Live lacks a championship for females to fight over. In theory, that shouldn't make the division any less competitive, but the creative team shot themselves in the foot with their own booking last week.

Neither of the two women's matches actually got underway, pre-match shenanigans preventing them from happening. This week's event featured a nod to this, but fans did get to see some wrestling. Better yet, the women who benefitted from the ordeal managed to shine.

Also this week, SmackDown Live was all about furthering the rivalry between Dolph Ziggler and Dean Ambrose (over the WWE World Title) heading into SummerSlam, but Bray Wyatt poked his nose in once again. Sadly, this didn't lead to anything satisfying for the so-called 'Eater Of Worlds'.
