Straight away, Charly Caruso apprehended Randy Orton upon his entrance into the building for SmackDown. The interviewer's main line of questioning revolved around Brock Lesnar, with Orton going on to say that he will kill that particular legend come SummerSlam. That's when Alberto Del Rio entered the picture.

A match had been scheduled between both men, and it was clear that Del Rio wanted to get Randy's mind onto their showdown later that evening. This made sense, because Alberto would have felt disrespected that Orton was already looking beyond him, warning that he could enter SummerSlam with a broken arm.

The whole segment flowed wonderfully, Orton has shown a little more charisma than usual since his return. He's obviously comfortable in his veteran-style role now, and can just relax during promos. This one set the scene for the match to come extremely well.
