4 Ups And 4 Downs From Last Night's NXT (May 13)

2. Tyler Breeze Stands Tall

Breeze has been on fire for the last few weeks. Not only did he emerge from his feud with Hideo Itami as the victor, but for two straight episodes in a row now, he has been the last man standing in the triple threat feud between himself, Itami and Balor. Heck, he even floored his tag team parter with a supermodel kick just to complete the set. For a man with a gimmick that could see as too silly to let him be a main event star, Breeze is cementing himself as a talent that belongs at the top, looking not only comfortable in the spotlight, but gorgeous to boot. While it's likely that this booking was to compensate for his eventual loss next week, a matchup between Owens and Breeze would be an interesting thought (and now more possible considering Itami's injury). They feel like they live in different worlds, and that might not be a bad thing. Tyler has even started garnering some babyface support through his talent alone, so it's likely that he could garner full cheers in a program with the champ. It would have been very easy to have Breeze fade into the background against his indy superstar rivals. Kudos to NXT for making sure that didn't happen.
