4 Ups And Downs From Last Night's WWE Smackdown (Feb 19)
3. Daniel Bryan And Roman Reigns Were Decisive Winners
Earlier I complained that WWE dropped the ball by not having Bryan and Reigns interact at all. It's a valid point because they really should have done something together. All they did on this show was win easy matches. Bryan easily defeated The Miz, who barely got any offense in a match that went about three minutes. Reigns' win was a little longer a five minutes, but it was still a decisive clean finish for him. What matters in this case is that both guys were booked like winners. Perception is everything in wrestling. Compare this to something like where Barrett lost in stupid fashion to R-Truth. If Bryan or Reigns like that then it would hurt their match tremendously. Since they both won, you can easily say that both guys have a lot of momentum going to Fastlane and that it's a tough match to predict. That's the difference between good and bad booking. The Reigns/Bryan match at Fastlane is a tough one to call. Reigns winning seems like the obvious choice because they can make him look strong by beating a former WWE Champion like Daniel Bryan or Bryan can win to potentially make it a triple threat match at WrestleMania if they want to keep Reigns involved. There are several matches. The way Bryan and Reigns were booked on Smackdown helps to set things up as an even playing field for them.
