5 Biggest Winners & Losers From WWE In 2025
1. Losers: Karrion Kross and Scarlett
A good number of releases from this year could be in contention for biggest loser.
Veterans like Carlito were brushed aside to make room for the younger generation, of which dozens in EVOLVE, LFG and NXT were only given a few months to be hired and fired almost immediately anyway.
Andrade is waiting a year to wrestle elsewhere, dreams were shattered for people like Cora Jade, and Ridge Holland's injury and release is perhaps the worst situation out of anyone.
But one of the more interesting cases of WWE just refusing to let talent succeed and forcing them into the loser category has to go to Karrion Kross and Scarlett. Kross wrestled primarily on WWE Main Event and could still only beat enhancement talent like Akira Tozawa.
Kross had a big moment after WrestleMania with his crash out, which could have been the jumping point for a push, but only led to a 2-1 losing effort to Sami Zayn in a storyline that proved Kross, who lost his entire faction this year, also was wrong about his ability to corrupt people. Effectively, everything about him screamed "loser" to WWE.
Come August, their contracts expired, and even though so many fans made such a fuss over them, the buzz has died down and they haven't been signed to any other big promotion or done anything impactful since.
