Sasha Banks has been the face of the WWE Women’s division for a while now, but her coronation wasn’t complete until she took Charlotte’s Championship. Now, The Boss stands tall at the head of the division, and as one of the most popular performers in the company, she looks set for a long, successful reign.

Banks didn’t have the most impactful evening of her career, but last night’s Raw was very productive for her. Given the struggles that she’s faced with Dana Brooke and Charlotte when outnumbered, it was a curious choice to ask Mick Foley for a handicap match, but Mick’s adjustment was on-point. If Sasha could beat Dana on Raw, then she’d have Charlotte one-on-one at SummerSlam, and that’s exactly what happened.

Sasha made short work of Charlotte’s sidekick, and despite her willingness to engage them in a 2-on-1 situation, she no longer has to worry about Brooke’s interference in the SummerSlam rematch. There’s little evidence to suggest that she’ll lose the match at this point, and this move streamlines what should be another thoroughly enjoyable clash between two competitors who know each other very well indeed. Sasha Banks has eliminated Charlotte’s biggest advantage, and finds herself firmly in the driving seat.
