5 Storytelling Crutches WWE Needs To Ditch Right Now

2. Champions Walking Out On A Match

Using the count-out to retain a title can be a dastardly heel act that furthers the story and robs a babyface of a big win. Properly executed, it makes a heel look tactical or opportunistic in the best way.

But just walking away from the match is lazy, weak storytelling. The Usos marred a great match with The New Day at Money in the Bank when they did it, and so did Alexa Bliss at Great Balls of Fire.

They're tough, wily heels. They can do better than that. Alexa has already done better, pulling her double-jointed trick on a few occasions.

Close this storytelling loophole once and for all. After all, if you can just walk out and keep your title, why doesn't every heel champion do this every single time, instead of risking their bodies wrestling? It doesn't make sense.
