5 Ups & 10 Downs From WWE WrestleMania Raw (March 28)

Downs…

10. Stupid Angle, Stupid Match

The Miz Logan Paul

Last week, we were “treated” to Rey Mysterio Mask Theft Angle #347 when Miz stole Rey’s mask and threatened to give it to Logan Paul.

The announcers treated it with their usual deft and skill, with Corey Graves – who last week actually sold the horror of unmasking a luchador – going all-in as a ham about “Lucha Logan,” turning the mask theft into a comedy spot instead of disrespecting heritage.

Oh, and the “match” was just a short, uneventful bout that ended when Rey reversed a slingshot powerbomb attempt into a sunset flip for the pin. Literally, most of the match took place during the commercial break. And afterward, the Mysterios stole the mask back and laid out Miz with a superkick, 619 and two frog splashes – all while Logan looked on.

Yep, the guy who was WWE Champion 14 months ago was just laid out in a comedy angle involving a YouTube “celebrity.” That’s a sentence you don’t expect to write every day.
