5 Ups & 2 Downs From UFC 248

1. Dynamite

The lightweight scrap between Beneil Dariush and Drakkar Klose was a perfect example of how fickle sports fans can be. The first round of their fight was admittedly quite boring, as Dariush managed to jump on Klose's back to search for a rear naked choke. Although it was a dominant position and one that could've easily led to a finish, boos rang around the T-Mobile Arena for nearly the entire round.

The second round, however, was completely different as both men opened up on the feet from the beginning. Klose struck first, wobbling the Kings MMA lightweight, but Dariush managed to turn the tide and crack Klose with a punch that him wobbling.

Instead of rushing towards him and trying to take his head off, Dariush put just enough pressure on his flailing opponent to land the kill shot that sent him hurtling backwards towards the cage in a heap. And just like that, Dariush received a standing ovation from everyone watching. The strange, topsy turvy world of mixed martial arts, ladies and gentlemen.
