Downs...

2. This Women’s Title Stuff Is Still Lacking

Jade Cargill Nia Jax

First, the downers.

WWE has lined up a rematch between Tiffany Stratton and Jade Cargill on next week's show, which doesn’t feel urgent. They had a so-so clash at SummerSlam, and there just wasn't enough to it to make fans yell: 'Book another round, Hunter!'. Whilst there was nothing wrong with the actual execution of Stratton's promo here, she also said nothing of any real interest.

Then, right as Jade reacted to watching that on TV, Nia Jax muscled in to say pretty much nothing herself. Cargill responded by saying that Jax can get the first title shot once she beats Tiffy. Urgh, this is all so tedious and is going nowhere. None of the characters involved have anything interesting to say right now, and none of the combos being served up sound like enticing, must-see matches either.

As the intro states, Triple H has to hold a crisis meeting to rescue Tiffany’s title reign. It's either that or end it, because this is insufferable every bloody week. She's barely wrestling matches people care about, and her babyface promos are still too unlikable to really hit the way creative wants them to. Seriously, why haven't they figured this out by now nearly a full year into her title reign?!

There's no justification for Nia hanging around like a bad smell either. So, she can just waltz back into view and receive endless quantities of title matches without doing anything to earn them? That spits in the face of the competitive division WWE has its announcers boast about.

Right now, that competitive (much like the interest) spirit is non-existent.
