5 Ups & 3 Downs From AEW Rampage (July 29)
3. 'Trash Day'

Speaking of things that worked.
The Acclaimed's 'Trash Day' music video is something you should see. In fact, here's a link so you can check it out for yourself before reading the rest of this entry. Done that? Enjoy it? Good. Max Caster and Anthony Bowens ooze charisma, which they proved all over again in this promo piece.
This has to be one of the most unique ways to fire out a match challenge in living memory. Caster's rap had references to Billy Gunn's lengthy career (including a zinger about firing blanks "from his Smoking Gunns") before The Acclaimed then revealed that they want The Gunn Club in a 'Dumpster' bout.
The way AEW transitioned from a would-be stable to a full-blown feud between these two teams was nifty, and now they can probs ride things out until All Out in September. That'll take a bit more creativity, but Caster, Bowens and The Gunns are capable of making it happen so their 'Dumpster' affair has maximum impact.
