Regular readers of this column will know that Baron Corbin's in-ring offerings tend to fall in the 'Downs' section more often than not, but last night's match with Sin Cara was a perfect use of his limited abilities, and set 'The Lone Wolf' off in an interesting new direction.

The bout lasted little over a minute, but it accomplished everything it needed to. Baron was extremely cocky before the bell, denying Cara the opportunity to fight for the United States Title, and he paid for it. The former Lucha Dragon attacked immediately, knocking his opponent to the floor, then taking him out with a series of fast, high-flying moves, before dashing inside.

'The Lone Wolf' almost made it back to the ring, but failed to beat the referee's 10-count, and Cara was awarded the victory. The champion was seething, and while the likeliest follow-up is Corbin smashing the luchador sometime within the next few weeks, this match was bags of fun, with Cara showing more fire then we've seen from him in years.

A flawless segment. Fingers crossed for an effective continuation next week.
