5 Ups & 4 Downs from WWE Raw (16 June - Results & Review)
1. The Worst Thing
There is never a good time to have an injury, but Liv Morgan might have inadvertently picked the worst time to have an errant fall that landed her on the shelf.
Facing Kairi Sane, Morgan took a front bump moments into the match and jolted her shoulder. She immediately rolled to the outside and writhed on the floor against the barricade as Raw cut to a commercial while doctors checked on her. When they came back, the match was over, and Sane was declared the winner since Liv couldn’t wrestle.
This comes at a time when Morgan seemingly was being positioned at the center of the women’s division. She opened Raw by challenging Iyo Sky to a Women’s World Championship match. She took out Nikki Bella last week, seemingly setting up a tag team match at Evolution for her Women’s Tag Team Championship. She’s also currently embroiled in a simmering issue with the Judgment Day that could boil overall at any minute.
Even if she’s only sidelined for a few weeks, Liv’s injury could complicate ongoing storylines and angles. WWE also loses one of its most reliable wrestlers, which is also a blow to the women’s division. Here’s to a speedy recovery for Morgan.
