5 Ups & 5 Downs From WWE SmackDown (Oct 20 - Results & Review)

1. Chemistry Counts

LA Knight Paul Heyman

LA Knight's confidence is through the roof.

Why wouldn't it be? He's heading for a blockbuster showdown opposite Roman Reigns, and everyone from John Cena to Roman and Paul Heyman keeps finding news ways to elevate the man. Being fair, LA is doing a lot to help himself by whipping fans into a frenzy on the mic.

He and Heyman worked a top opening segment on SmackDown. Paul E does such a brilliant job of carrying Bloodline business when Reigns isn't around, and Knight was on form as some brash, borderline-bully boy babyface that conjured up images of classic Steve Austin or The Rock.

LA has that kind of mojo as a face. The rise he's experienced on the main roster is nothing short of astonishing. Long may it continue! You'd struggle to find a better promo battle than the one WWE booked on Friday night anywhere else on the wrestling map.
