5 Ups & 5 Downs From WWE SmackDown (Oct 20 - Results & Review)
2. Main Event Goodness
Now this is the kind of spot Charlotte Flair excels in.
The 'Queen' is still nowhere near likeable enough as a character to play babyface, but she knows how to get it done in featured spots come bell time. Flair and IYO SKY proved they've got some decent chemistry on SmackDown, and WWE handed the pair plenty of time to iron out any kinks even if they didn't.
Admittedly, Damage CTRL constantly getting involved does feed into the idea of SKY being more of a transitional champion, but it also makes sense. They're a faction, so why wouldn't they take every available opportunity to help one another? It'd be up to some authority figure to ban them from ringside.
This was the right main event for SmackDown. It says everything for Charlotte that yours truly had no desire to see her work for titles as a baby again before the show, but then found himself glued to the screen come time for the match. That's the sign of a top talent.
