5 Ups & 7 Downs For WWE Raw (8 Sept - Results & Review)
2. Jey’s Had Enough
Since losing his World Heavyweight Championship in June, Jey Uso has struggled to regain his footing. He’s fallen short in the King of the Ring tournament, the world title gauntlet match, and the fatal four-way at Clash in Paris.
Throw in the constant beatings from The Vision, and it’s understandable that Jey has been tiring of the cycle of fighting with no ascension back to the world title. Monday, he gave pretty strong Roman Reigns vibes – with Jimmy Uso calling it out – when talking about why he didn’t care about LA Knight or anyone else who didn’t acknowledge the Usos. This came after a miscommunication between Jey and LA that saw Uso splashed in the corner.
That set the stage for the post-main event scene when Knight and Jimmy tried to fight off Bron Breakker and Bronson Reed, only to be overcome. Jey ran down for the save, and the faces cleared the ring, only for Main Event Jey to spear Knight and declare that they were good now.
While it might not be a full-fledged heel turn for Jey, it serves as a fly in the ointment, a bit of an edge or a question of whether he can be fully trusted by any of his former or current allies – including his brother Jimmy.
What will be interesting is whether the fans follow suit and boo Jey, or if they insist on “yeeting” along with everything he does.
