5 Ups & 7 Downs From WWE Raw (Nov 30)

6. Sacrificing Shayna

Shayna Baszler dominated NXT like no one since Asuka before her callup earlier this year. She started off strong, but seemingly flamed out after losing at WrestleMania 36. Amazingly, she’s built herself back up as a killer alongside Nia Jax as WWE Women’s Tag Team Champions.

And now, she’s been pinned in back-to-back nontitle matches, including Monday’s affair with Lana getting the fall. Yes, Lana pinned Baszler. Of course, it was Asuka’s shining wizard that knocked Shayna loopy, but still, this is just ridiculous, especially when you consider that it’s not going to help get Lana over. It’s not like Lana pinning Baszler is suddenly going to make her a cherished underdog or anything like that.

So instead, all you’ve done is have a wrestler who has been portrayed as a hapless, incompetent, unlucky, overmatched loser suddenly beat a legit fighter with a banana peel finish.

And one more thing, just to get it on the record: If WWE doesn’t book a tables match between Lana and Nia with TLC two weeks away, this company can go straight to hell. STRAIGHT. TO. HELL.
