During the intro to this piece, it was mentioned that some had reservations over Dolph Ziggler's challenge for the WWE World Heavyweight Title. Ziggler has been booked as an afterthought for so long, making it difficult for many fans to suddenly see him as a true threat to Dean Ambrose and his tenure as champ.

WWE's creative team went about setting that right on SmackDown, booking Dolph to stand up to the very idea that he couldn't cut it in the big time. Dolph even alluded to his stint in The Spirit Squad, saying he didn't have the same opportunities Ambrose did, arriving on the main roster as a cheerleader and not having the luxury of The Shield to back him up.

It was an impassioned speech from Ziggler, who also put over his love for professional wrestling and his lifelong dream of being the man. Meanwhile, Ambrose came across slightly like a heel, pushing Dolph's buttons and acting a little more cocky.

This is the kind of fire that's required to make the feud worthwhile.
