After a chaotic wrestling year that saw massive changes hit WWE, we close out Monday Night Raw’s 2022 with a clip show of all things.

But don’t expect to hear anything about Vince McMahon or the new regime or anything like that. This was your standard fare of WWE highlights: some were spot-on and well done, while other topics were head-scratchers, leaving you wondering why that moment was deemed one of the “absolute best” parts of 2022.

Still, as a clip show goes, this was really nicely done overall in terms of the individual highlights. We got interviews with several superstars, including Bianca Belair, Cody Rhodes, Drew McIntyre, Sheamus, New Day and Liv Morgan. Those conversations set up match highlights, which were usually the opening couple minutes before a commercial provided the break to cut to the end segment of the match.

Corey Graves and Jackie Redmond also spent a decent amount of the show plugging SmackDown this Friday, anchored by John Cena returning to team with Kevin Owens against Roman Reigns & Sami Zayn, and next week’s Raw, which features multiple title matches.

While you shouldn’t be considering this a representative summary of WWE’s 2022, this wasn’t a terrible way to package up the company’s own highlights.

Let’s get to it…
